Sharna Burgess remembers crossing paths with Megan Fox early in her relationship with Brian Austin Green and why she wanted to lend a hand

Brian Austin Green And Sharna Burgess often talked about them co-parenting situation with actor’s ex-wife Megan Fox. Green has three sons Transformers actress, to whom he was married from 2010 to 2020, and, it seems, ex Dancing with the Stars Pro agreed with him from the beginning that the children would always have priority. Burgess recently recalled how she crossed paths with Fox shortly after she and Green started dating, and opened up about why it was important to reach out to her after their run-in.

The engaged couple opened up to Chris Harrison on The most dramatic podcast ever on Sharna Burgess’s decision to introduce herself Megan Fox a couple of months into her relationship with Brian Austin Green. The dancer said she spent a lot of time with their children and wanted to respect Fox’s feelings. Burgess said:

I thought about it like this: I think it’s time to meet her so she knows who is there for her kids and so she knows if she needs or wants something or wants me to help, I’m here. If she wants to know anything about me, I’m here. Let’s chat, you know? What do you want for your children? I want to be part of what is happening, and not change or disrupt anything.

Megan Fox filed for divorce by Brian Austin Green in November 2020, with Jennifer’s body the actress goes out in public with Machine gun “Kelly” (aka Colson Baker) shortly thereafter. Likewise, around the same time, Brian Austin Green started dating Sharna Burgess, and it was revealed that his former and current partners had an awkward run-in a couple of months later. According to Burgess:

So the universe crossed our paths and we were at the same restaurant in Los Angeles and I didn’t see Megan and Colson come in but my girlfriend Peta Murgatroyd was sitting next to me and I looked to my left and her beautiful big eyes stuck out of her head, like a cartoon character, and she seemed to be trying to push her head, all imperceptibly, but not very noticeably, in (their) direction. I was like I don’t understand what’s going on here. And as I looked from her left to right to whoever was speaking in our group, I caught Megan and Colson’s eyes.

Props to co-star Sharna Burgess Dancing with the Stars to friend Peta Murgatroyd for trying to warn her, even though she might not have been as subtle as she could have been. Burgess ultimately decided the restaurant was too public a place for their first meeting, she said, continuing:

We made eye contact for just a second and I decided not to bring it up again or approach the table because there would be too many eyes on the situation. It was inconvenient. I also felt bad ignoring her in that space, but it was like, no, this is probably the better of two not-so-great options. And I walked out of this restaurant and immediately texted Brian and said, “Hey, I ran into Megan at the restaurant and I think it’s time for me to meet her.” I’d like to introduce myself. He said, “Absolutely.” Here’s her number.

Brian Austin Green made sure to warn Megan Fox that Sharna Burgess would contact her so as not to catch her off guard, and in the end, the dancer believes she made the right choice since her message to Fox was allegedly “received and respected,” Burgess said .

Although the relationship between Brian Austin Green and his ex-wife wasn’t always so simple, he has I can only say positive things about Megan Foxincluding that she and Sharna Burgess have a “fantastic relationship.”
